Since March 1987, The Link Café is a community project involving churches in Tilehurst, organised and run by volunteers. It is a Christian Coffee Shop and Meeting Place.

Have you got a few hours free? Why not join The Link Café’s dedicated team of volunteers to cook and serve food.

Various tasks include: Setting up the café before opening, taking orders from customers and passing them to the kitchen, Delivering orders to customers at the tables and other catering tasks.

What is in it for you? You’ll have a hands-on working understanding and knowledge of food safety and hygiene rules in a café setting and its importance.

There are plenty of opportunities for applying good communication skills with staff and customers and the experience would be a great addition to your CV.
