Home-Start Reading is a small local charity working across Reading to support families with young children through challenging times.
Could you help a local family get through difficult times and thrive?
Home-Start volunteers visit families in their own homes for a few hours, once a week, to provide them with the support.
You’d help enable parents to develop the confidence, skills and community links they need for their children to flourish, through support, friendship and practical help.
If you’re a kind, empathetic person who’s good with children and can spare a couple of hours a week, this could be a rewarding opportunity for you. The training is mainly online and self-paced, but with three in-person sessions to consolidate the learning.
The next ones are coming up on April 16, 23 and 30l. If you’re interested, please get in touch with Marion on: 0118 956 0050 or email: marion@home-start-reading.org.uk.
