The Way Ministry Reading is a Christian organisation that supports people who are homeless, vulnerable or at risk of becoming homeless, and those that need help to get back on their feet. They care for all people regardless of their religious beliefs, gender, sexuality or race.
They are currently looking for volunteers for their Night Shelter. There are a handful of different roles to take on. During the evening sessions volunteers help with hosting the homeless guests. Making hot drinks, organising bedding and towels, serving a hot meal, socialising with the guests, playing board games, and more.
During the morning sessions simple breakfast is made, the guests are given their bags back, and the shelter is left tidy and ready for the next evening session.
No experience is necessary, just a heart to help and serve with compassion.
