The groups run in the evenings for two hours – either 5pm to 7pm or 5.30pm to 7.30pm – in Woodley or Wokingham.
The role is flexible; you can work as much or as little as you like.
Formed in 2002 The Children’s Air Ambulance is a lifesaving transfer service for critically ill babies and children.
They need your help to raise awareness and increase income for The Air Ambulance Service by having more people taking part in their planned bucket collections, and also help them with regular local collections.
As a volunteer bucket collector in Reading you would be supporting the fundraising team by joining them at their planned collections at large events and approaching local businesses, such as supermarkets, to arrange and coordinate more bucket collections.
This role is very flexible; any time you can give helps them fund their life-saving missions.
St Mungo’s is a charity dedicated to ending homelessness.
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping people recover from homelessness and the experience, skills and knowledge they bring make a real difference to the lives of people they work with.
They are currently looking for more First Response Volunteers to join them in the Reading area. Volunteers will be: Working with a partner volunteer to locate referrals and identify those who are rough sleeping, passing information about referrals to the Outreach team to follow up on and more.
Initially, you will not be directly interacting with those rough sleeping, although the role does offer training on this if you are interested.
Time commitment expected from volunteers is one shift per month on either Mondays or Fridays, 6am-10am.
You can change the day you do each month; it is a very flexible role.
