Reading City Football Club is a grassroots football club based in Tilehurst, with almost 30 youth teams and 4 senior sides we are Reading’s second biggest Football Club.
They are looking for volunteer Matchday Announcers to join the team.
The role of Matchday Announcer will involve; announcing the line-ups for each Reading City home fixture, getting the crowd excited ahead of the teams taking to the pitch, working with the Head of Marketing, Communications & Engagement to plan the Matchday Playlist prior to each game and announcing important in-game information such as Goalscorers, Half-Time/Full Time Scores and substitutions.
This unique opportunity to be an important part of the matchday experience would suit a confident public speaker with excellent attention to detail available to attend most – if not all – of Reading City’s home games throughout the season, from 1.30pm until 5pm on Saturday matchdays, and from 6.30pm until 9.45pm for midweek fixtures.
Reading Mencap are a local charity providing support for adults with a learning disability and their families. They have an activity day service, clubs/activities, carers service and family advice service.
They are looking for enthusiastic, pro-active, patient, empathetic, caring volunteers to help us run our Performing Arts group.
Volunteers will be helping adults with a learning disability to enjoy and take part in, various themed performing arts sessions.
Workshops cover drama, singing, poetry, dance, story writing, prop making, drumming and seeing plays at a local theatre.
The sessions run on two Thursdays a month, 7.30-9pm.
This is a great opportunity to have fun whilst making a huge impact on a vulnerable person’s life.
Reading Pride are seeking a volunteer to offer marketing support, pro-actively engaging with offline marketing suppliers and agencies to maximise marketing opportunities ahead of and during Reading Pride Parade and Festival.
The role will involve building relationships with marketing suppliers and agencies who could then support Reading Pride Parade and Festival, developing and delivering offline marketing strategies in the run-up to and during Reading Pride, liaising with the digital marketing team to ensure offline and online marketing activities are in sync.
This role does not require any special skills, however, previous marketing experience or employment would be advantageous.
The person filling this role will ideally be confident in proactively engaging with and negotiating deals with suppliers and agencies.
