A CONSTRUCTION worker has been seriously injured in an incident in Reading.
A 36-year-old construction worker received serious injuries and another person sustained minor injuries in Amethyst Lane shortly after 9am on Wednesday, February 19.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Received a report of an industrial accident at an address on Amethyst Lane, Reading at around 9.20am [yesterday] morning.
“Police have attended the scene with the fire and ambulance services– a 36-year-old man fell through the construction site floor and sustained serious injuries.
“He was given first aid at the scene and has been taken to hospital for further treatment; his condition is understood to be serious but stable.
“One other person sustained minor injuries, and we are working with emergency service partners and the Health and Safety Executive.
“Officers will be remaining on scene whilst an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is completed.”
