TWO MEN have been arrested in connection with an incident of grievous bodily harm in Reading.

An 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Reading, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

It is in connection with an incident that happened on Saturday, May 28, in Cedar Road.

The incident took place shortly after midnight at the junction of Cedar Road and Linden Road, then progressed into the Shinfield Road Recreation Park.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was set upon by a group of offenders who assaulted him and then stabbed him twice in the legs.

He received hospital treatment but his injuries are not reported to be life-changing or life-threatening.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

The two men have since been released on police bail.
