Two arrested following assault at Reading Station

TWO PEOPLE have been arrested following an incident at Reading Station on Saturday, July 20.

Officers responded to reports of an assault at the station at around 8.45pm, where a 60-year old man was found injured.

A 39-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have been arrested in relation to the incident.

Police are now appealing to the public for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at about 8.45pm on Saturday, July 20, following reports that a 60-year-old man had been assaulted outside Reading train station.

“Officers attended along with the ambulance service; the man was taken to hospital where he remains at this time in a critical condition.

“A 39-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently in police custody.
