THE TRIANGLE Players has announced it is opening auditions ahead of its annual pantomime for this year, The Adventures of Sinbad the Sailor.

It follows Sinbad, a young man with dreams of adventure on the high seas, who, joined by a cast of colourful characters, Sinbad sets sail on a daring quest to uncover the truth, defeat whatever villainy stands in his way, and perhaps find his own courage along the way.

The production will also be infused with hits from the 80s.

Triangle Players is inviting actors, singers, and dancers of all experience levels ahead of the production at the end of the year.

A script read-through is set to take place in November, followed by auditions and casting.

Co-writer and director Lewis Gilbert explained: “I got into 1980s pop music last summer, and it’s never really left me since. When plotting out ideas for the pantomime with my co-writer, Donna, we were discussing songs that could carry the story or mood of a scene — and then it hit us.
