READING’S oldest amateur dramatics group is celebrating eight decades of treading the boards with an event next month.
Triangle Players is entering its 80th year this year, and is set to host an open day.
The event will see short performances from members of the company, as well as technical and staging demonstrations, costume exhibits, and a collection of photographs and programmes from its eight-decade history.
It comes ahead of the Players’ drama workshop later in July, and their regular autumn production later this year.
The 80th Anniversary Open Day is set to take place at Tilehurst Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, July 5 , from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
