GUESTS heading to shows at a Reading-based arts centre can now drink the boards while watching actors tread them.
South Street has launched a brand-new beer to join its selection of specially curated drinks, all with a local flavour.
Phantom Brewing Co, based in Meadow Road, has devised the special pale ale which first went on sale at a special members evening held late last month.
The beer is 5.3%, and is available alongside other Reading brews from Tilehurst-based Double-Barrelled Brewery: Parka and Ding.
They are served in special South Street branded pint or half-pint glasses.
And, no doubt, this is one special act that will receive a round of applause from the audience – and a request for an encore.
