TRAINS between Wokingham and Ascot are expected to be subject to delays until the early afternoon operators have announced following an on-track incident.

South Western Railway and National Rail have both reported that trains between Ascot and Wokingham will see delays until around 2pm today, June 29, after a person was reportedly involved in an incident on the tracks.

South Western Railway has reported that a person was struck by a train during the course of the incident, and emergency services are currently responding.

SWR says that it is attempting to put a bus replacement service in place between Reading and Virginia Water, but this is still yet to be completed.

London Waterloo to Reading services will start and terminate at Virginia Water.

Tickets for services along the route will also be valid on a number of other services.
