THE FIRM behind one of Reading’s biggest building projects is celebrating after winning a top accolade.
Native Residential is the operation behind Ebb & Flow, a commercial and residential development that links Station Hill with Friar Street in the town centre.
At the recent HomeView awards, it won the Best Large BTR (Buy to Rent) Operator of the Year, while its sister developments – The Almere in Milton Keynes was best in the South of England, and its Corkfield development scooped best community.
HomeView awards are based on resident feedback, Ebb & Flow received 4.7 on the five-star rating, with comments touching on topcis such as facilities, community team, design, value, management, and location.
Its highest-ranking category was design – Ebb & Flow commissioned The Vawdrey House for its interior design, and The Conran Shop provided the furniture for all shared spaces including the kitchen, lounge, and co-working spaces.
And capping off an impressive period for the firm, Finchampstead-based Siren Craft Brew announced it is open a new flagship bar on Friar Street.
Tony Bullen, Ebb & Flow’s Community Manager, said: “Here at Ebb & Flow, we are proud to be a key part of Reading, and contributing to the town’s ongoing development is an exciting ongoing project.
“Over the past six months, we have received brilliant feedback from residents and non-residents alike.
“Achieving first place in HomeView’s best places to live in Reading is an extraordinary win for us, and to achieve third overall in the Southeast is outstanding.”
He continued: “Still being so new to the area, we are glad our prior research into the community has paid off, and we can offer clubs, workshops, and fitness classes that our residents attend regularly.
“Native Residential’s best BTR operator win confirms our commitment to our residents and our contribution to the wider areas.”
In February, Ebb unveiled its final phase of apartments and a further courtyard, where events and yoga classes will be held.
Flow, Ebb’s sister building comprising 184 apartments, is due to open in April.
The link bridge spanning between the station and Friar Street will open later this year.
