Thousands of runners laced up their shoes on what was a humid summer day as they took part in the Green Park 10k on Sunday.

Runners from across the country travelled to take part in the race, while many local running clubs were also represented.

Organisers of the race said: “What an incredible day at the Green Park Reading 10k & Family Runs.

“A massive congratulations to everyone who took part – you absolutely smashed it! We loved seeing so many smiling faces and determined efforts out on the course.

“Thank you to our volunteers, our title sponsor Green Park and supporters who made the event possible – we couldn’t have done it without you.”
