THIEVES threatened to stab a teenager walking through Christchurch Meadows in a pre-Christmas attempted robbery.
The incident happened on the footpath in the popular Caversham park around 9.45pm on Saturday, December 23.
Two men approached the teenager and demanded his phone. They threatened to stab him, before giving chase.
Thames Valley Police said no one was injured and nothing was stolen.
The would-be robbers were white, aged around 17 or 18 and wearing black ski masks.
One is described as 5ft 7ins tall and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a matching hoodie.
The other is described as 5ft 10ins tall and wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black puffer jacket.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Sam Toulson, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this robbery, or anyone with information which could help our investigation, to please come forward.
