A SUPERMARKET in Theale was burgled in an overnight raid earlier this month, and Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened around 1.45am on Monday, July 10, at the Co-op store on the High Street.

The burglars targeted the tills, taking money.

CCTV from the scene and from a second theft in Thatcham means police believe the two raids are linked.

On Sunday, July 9, around 4.45am, thieves used tools to break into the Frank Hutchings Community Hall in Thatcham.

At the same time, a suspicious individual had been seen walking up and down outside the Co-op near the community hall.
