A CYCLIST was the victim of a late-night robbery in Reading and police are appealing for witnesses.
The incident happened around 10.40pm on Wednesday, February 28, on Forbury Road close to Forbury Gardens and the Catholic Church.
Thames Valley Police said the victim was cycling in the direction of the railway station.
At the crossing at Forbury roundabout an unknown man has pushed him off his bike – a bright orange Specialised Cross Trail bike – and then stole it.
The victim received bruising to his legs but did not need to attend hospital.
The offender is described as white, in his twenties, 6ft tall, with short dark hair.
He was wearing a black jacket, black joggers and black shoes, and spoke with a Reading accent.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Katharine Darling, said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage of this incident to please come forward.
