The Wombats, Alfie Templeman, Doves, and Hard-Fi to play Heritage Live at Englefield House

INDIE royalty The Wombats are set to play at Englefield House as part of this year’s Heritage Live Festival.

This summer, they’ll headline the festival which celebrates some of the UK’s most historic venues.

They’ll be joined by indie dance-pop darling Alfie Templeman, and indie rock stalwarts Doves and Hard-Fi.

The Wombats’ appearance comes hot on the heels of their sixth studio album, Oh! The Ocean, which has seen them continuing to develop and expand upon their signature, guitar-driven beginnings in one of their most ambitious projects since their debut outing in 2007.

Since then, the band has been nominated for an MTV Europe award, made numerous appearances at festivals around the world (including multiple at Reading Festival), and embarked upon a number of headline international tours.

Doves recently completed their first UK tour in 15 years following the release their sixth studio album, Constellations For The Lonely, a follow up to 2020’s UK No.1 album The Universal Want.

Hailing from Manchester, Doves have garnered critical acclaim including two Mercury Prize-nominated albums at the turn of the millennium.

Hard-Fi have released three albums which reached the top 10 in the UK album charts, two of which reached number 1, including their Mercury-prize nominated debut, Stars of CCTV.

In November last year, they released their first EP of original music, Do’t Go Making Plans, and are set to celebrate their 20th anniversary this summer.

Alfie Templeman will open the festival in the wake of his two critically-acclaimed albums, 2022’s Mellow Moon, and last year’s Radiosoul, the latter of which included Just a Dance, co-produced by Nile Rodgers, who also performed on the track.

Heritage Live Festival takes place at Englefield House from 3pm on Thursday, July 17th.

Tickets go on presale on Tuesday, April 8, and general sale on Thursday, April 10.
