A COMEDIAN’S planned gig has been so successful that organisers are raffling off the remaining seats.
Al Murray, best known for his Pub Landlord character, is giving a benefit performance for The Corn Exchange Newbury’s Old Library Campaign. This will help redevelop the historic building on Cheap Street in Newbury and make it into the new permanent home for their creative participation work.
The Pubtastic Fundraising Event with Al Murray on Tuesday, June 25, starts at 7.30pm.
To help people get the remaining seats, the arts centre is offering a chance to win them in the prize draw.
The prize is two tickets in the centre stalls, putting the winners up close nad personal with the comic.
They cost £5 each, and the draw closes at noon on Thursday, May 23, with the winner being notified later that same day.
