A CHARITY in Thames Valley is seeking submissions as it established an archive of stories from those it has helped.
Thames Valley Positive Support (TVPS)–a HIV support organisation that has been helping people across Berkshire since 1985–is calling on the public to get involved in its anniversary celebrations by sharing memories of TVPS or those who used its services.
This year, TVPS is celebrating 40 years of supporting people living with HIV and is creating a TVPS archive to commemorate this milestone.
The charity is particularly keen to hear from people who worked in HIV support, including nurses, helpline staff, and volunteers who were involved with past organisations that later became TVPS.
It is also looking to hear from those who lost friends or loved ones from their community to HIV or that have memories from HIV in the 1980s–even if they were not directly linked to charity.
Sarah Macadam, CEO of TVPS, said “Reaching 40 years of TVPS supporting positive people is something we are hugely proud of.
“We felt the best way to celebrate is to create an archive that stores and shares all the memories from the last four decades.
“If you or a loved one had any involvement with TVPS, we would love to hear from you.”
