A TEMPORARY classroom unused for six years will be brought back into use at a south Reading school.

Reading Borough Council’s planning committee approved an application to use the two-storey hut for pupils with additional needs at The Ridgeway Primary School in Hillbrow.

Renovations will need to be undertaken to get it ready for use.

Cllr Andrew Hornsby-Smith (Labour, Church) who represents the area, said: “There is nothing here that can be remotely opposed to, indeed, it’s very welcome.”

Permission has been granted for five years, taking the hut’s usage to 2028.

The application can be seen on Reading Borough Council’s planning website, searching for reference 231046.
