AN EARLY morning robbery took place on the A4 Bath Road and police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident took place near the junction with Pips Way in Aldermaston, around 6.30am on Saturday, July 3.
The victim was an 18-year-old teenager, walking along the side of the road.
A passenger in an old-style white Ford Transit van pulled up alongside the man and demanded money or his phone.
As the thief had a knife, the victim handed over £60.
The van then drove off in the direction of Reading.
The passenger of the car, who was holding the knife, is described as a white man, aged in his mid-thirties, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of skinny build, with short light coloured hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black cargo style work trousers.
The driver of the car is described as a mixed-race man, also in his mid-thirties and of stocky build.
Detective Constable James Postans, based at Newbury police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who was near Pips Way at around 6.30am on Saturday morning and who witnessed this incident to please contact 101, quoting reference number 43210293225.
