AN ONLINE talk will explore the role in the RAF in preventing the Nazis from invading Britain.
Members of the Berkshire Family History Society are organising the session, which will be led by historian Richard Marks.
He will look at 1940, and the steps the Allied forces made in preventing the Luftwaffe from gaining air supremacy.
Mr Marks specialises in industrial, military, and railway history and also the history of science. His current areas of research are industrial development in the Victorian period, the development of the railway and canal systems in Britain in the mid to late 19th Century and the history of British Rail. Richard’s book about British Rail Engineering is due to be published by Pen and Sword.
The session runs from 2pm to 3.30pm on Thursday, March 21, and pre-booking is essential so a link to the online talk can be sent out in advance.
Places cost £5, and can be booked by logging on to: berksfhs.org or calling: 0118 950 9553.
