Kingfisher A marched on at the top of Division One with a comfortable victory over Sonning Common & Peppard D with Hari Gehlot, Martin Adams and young Rishaan Sawant completing a 10-0 whitewash.
Sonning Common & Peppard A matched this at home to Kingfisher D, their only challenge coming when Jason Roberts was pushed to 11-7 in the decider by Gorgi Ivanov.
Ed Lush and Gary Morgan completed the rout. The third whitewash of the week was witnessed at Tilehurst RBL A with their regular trio of Keith Winter, Marc Brent and Jon Willis taking out Sonning Common & Peppard B with relative ease.
Kingfisher B could not quite match their league rivals as Julian Telford lost his 100% record to Sonning Sports’ Paul Savage in five sets.
The final result was 9-1 as Graham Mendick and Prayrit Ahluwalia were untroubled. Finally, the Tidmarsh A trio of Lee Calcutt, Anthony Baker and Dale Ballard won two each on the night to carry off a 7-3 home victory over Sonning Common & Peppard C, who picked up their first points of the season.
Lee certainly got his money’s worth with all his games going to the deciding fifth end. He was 2-0 up before Jon Abbott turned their encounter around, and Danny Dockree performed admirably with two points for the visitors.
Kingfisher F extended their lead at the top of the Division Two table with a 9-1 win against Pangbourne
WMC helped by a three straight maximum from Shashwat Somani and a maximum from Adrian Cretu which included recovering from two games down to beat Leroy Wilson in five.
Second placed Reading FC beat Our Lady of Peace A 8-2 with the usual maximum from Michael Childs and two wins each for Jazz Dhillon and Tony Alleyne.
Kingfisher G just edged out Tilehurst RBL B 6-4 despite a good maximum from Tilehurst’s Kate Maksimenko.
The set of the night saw Kingfisher’s Gennadi Armashula recovered from two games down to beat John Willcocks 11-8 in the fifth.
In the Kingfisher local derby the E team had a comfortable 9-1 win over a two man H team despite a good performance from Rupesh Ahluwalla for the F side, while Springfield A and Tidmarsh C fought out a closely contested 5-5 draw.
Ian Wu had two good wins for Tidmarsh including beating Jason King 11-6 in the fifth having lost the first two games.
