THERE’S still time to enter Reading’s Half Marathon, but you have to be quick as entries close on Monday.

The annual 13.1 mile race through the streets of the town will take place on Sunday, April 3.

Thousands have already signed up, but organisers are keeping places open for those who want to give it a go.

This year marks the race’s 40th anniversary, and it is, after a couple of years disruption due to covid, back in its usual spring time date.

Around 12,000 runners are expected to run from Green Park, through Reading and then back to the Select Car Leasing Stadium for a grand finish.

There is also a family run taking place.

The event’s headline sponsor is once again Unleashed Performance.

Race director Judith Mason urged runners to get their entry in before the closing date.

“Entries are still open until Monday morning, they close at 10am,” she said. “We’re expecting a flurry of entries over the weekend.

“We’re looking forward to seeing everybody there on race day.”
