A READING church is inviting residents to get together for an afternoon of live sport.

Reading Family Church’s Men’s Match Day will see fathers and sons enjoy a few hours in front of the television watching the Autumn rugby internationals and the football World Cup.

The plan is to watch France vs Denmark before moving over to watch England take on South Africa at Twickenham. The Reds and Whites will be looking to make amends after a shock defeat to Argentina.

There will be multiple screens to watch the games from. Visitors are asked to bring £2 to contribute towards snacks and soft drinks, however alcohol will not be served.

Booking is required and should be done via the church’s website.

Doors will open at 3.45pm, with the football kicking off at 4pm and the rugby at 5.30pm.
