A BOROUGH village pulled out all the stops at the weekend.
Sonning residents created around 50 mannequins and scenarios at their bi-annual celebration of creative fun, Sonning Scarecrows.
Organiser Barbara Carr, said: “It went extremely well, with lots of visitors to the event.
“A Sunday shower didn’t dampen spirits, and was followed by sunshine on Monday.
“Thank you to everyone who made a scarecrow, and to all those who came to view them.”
Visitors to the event were able to see exhibits including: Pooh Bear floating with his blue balloon, a Murder She Wrote crime scene, the Pied Piper, and a dino policeman, Barbie, Gene Kelly Singing in the Rain, and Van Gogh.
Families purchasing a map could follow a trail to discover the creations which had been placed in people’s front gardens, and take the opportunity to visit open gardens and view classic cars.
Funds raised by the event support Sonning village organisations.
