Sporting legends shared the tales of their career highs and lows in Reading last week, as part of a live podcast recording.
Held at Grosvenor Casino, television and radio star Colin Murray held a live recording of his podcast, ‘Colin Murray’s 52’, featuring England’s World Cup 1966 legend Sir Geoff Hurst and rugby star Danny Care.
The event, run by the Underground Fan Club, turned the normal interview format on its head as a pack of cards, with a different question on each card, dictated the stories that were told.
Sir Geoff Hurst spoke to the audience of his admiration of former Man United player Duncan Edwards, who died in the Munich Air Disaster, as well as revealing that he owes everything to his dad who taught him to develop his iconic two-footed play style.
England and Harlequins star Danny Care shared tales of trips to Vegas with Ugo Monye, as well as sharing his love and belief that Twickenham is the best stadium to play at, having first played there back with his school rugby.
