ONE OF Reading’s grassroots drag nights is returning with its original host this week.

Sheer Obsession is bringing back their regular evening of drag and cabaret from hand-picked performers from in and around Reading.

After a short hiatus, Sheer Obsession’s Suspenders is back with six more acts, including unofficial drag king of the darkness Francis LightningHeart, who brings glam-rock sensibilities to their performances, and the best mullet in the business, Percy Non Grata.

They’ll be joined by returning drag doyenne Draven, style superstar Londyn, Toney Baloney from Reading’s House of Big, and the versatile Jinn Alhijra, with host Sheer Obsession also performing.

Previous events have celebrated the 90s, the punk movement, and pop icons such as Lady Gaga with drag and cabaret performances.

Sheer Obsession’s Suspenders is taking place at The Rising Sun Arts Centre, Silver Street, from 7pm on Saturday, June 24.
