GREAT Western Railways is advising passengers not to travel on its routes today.
Severe weather conditions have caused the train operator to suspend services on its key routes.
Flooding and fallen trees have blocked access at key locations on the Great Western network, making it necessary for lines to close while teams inspect damage and carry out repairs.
GWR apologises for disruptions to journeys and says it will reopen routes as quickly as possible, but that journey disruptions are expected to last until at least the end of today, Monday, November 25.
Routes through Reading, including: London Paddington to Swansea via Bristol; London Paddington to Penzance via Exeter; and London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads via Swindon are all affected.
Customers can use tickets purchased for today, on journeys tomorrow Tuesday, November 26, and Wednesday, November 27, including during peak-time services.
Alternatively, they can claim a full refund
