THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an affray in Reading which left a man with stab wounds.
It follows an incident which took place at around 6.35pm on Sunday, September 22, when violent disorder broke out between seven people in the car park under Basing House on Portman Road.
A man in his twenties received stab wounds during the disorder, with the wounds to his arm requiring hospital treatment.
He has since been discharged.
A woman in her twenties also sustained injuries to her thumb which required hospital treatment– she has also been discharged.
Four other people sustained minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.
A 60-year-old woman, a 64-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman, a 24-year-old woman, a 32-year-old woman, a 24-year-old, and a 23-year-old man (all from Reading) were arrested on suspicion of affray, all of whom remain in custody.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Stuart Streeter said: “We are continuing to investigate this as a priority.
“I understand that this may cause concern but I would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated and targeted incident with no threat to the wider public.
“We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, dash-cam or doorbell footage to please come forward.
