A SERVING police officer has been charged with batter following an incident in Reading.
Thames Valley Police officer PC Lewis Cave, aged 29 and based at Reading police station, has been charged with three counts of battery and a further count of threatening violence to secure entry.
He was charged on Friday, January 5, following an incident which took place while he was off-duty in Reading on August 18 last year.
PC Lewis has now been suspended from duty and is due to appear at Oxford MAgistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 1.
