THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Reading.
At around 5.30pm on Friday, January 30, a collision occurred involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the junction of Highgrove Street and Christchurch Road.
After the collision, the driver of the vehicle, who is believed to be a woman, stopped to check on the victim, but then fled the scene.
The pedestrian, a man in his sixties, sustained serious injuries and required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
No arrests have been made at this current time.
Investigating officer, PC Keith Steward, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident whereby a pedestrian has sustained serious injuries from this collision.
“I would ask that anyone who was in or near the area in which this collision took place, to get in touch with us if you saw anything or have any information.
“If any motorists in the area that have dash cam footage, please check if it has captured anything as it could help our investigation.
