SELECT Car Leasing has announced it is set to collaborate in a new partnership with MotorEasy.

It is part of endeavours by Select Car Leasing (SCL) to expand its range of services available to customers, as it means that MotorEasy will be able to provide a number of solutions to SCL customers.

MotorEasy specialises in automotive aftersales and is launching its first range of insurance products, its Lease Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP).

This covers the shortfall between an initial insurer’s payout and the balance still owed on a lease agreement when a vehicle is declared a total loss.

From November every customer who leases a vehicle with Select will automatically receive 30 days free GAP Insurance.

It is also opening up alloy insurance, cosmetic insurance, and tyre insurance offerings.

These cover the cost of repairs to damaged rims; scratches, dents, scuffs and any other bodywork damage; and damaged tyres, respectively.

MotorEasy is set to bring warranty cover soon, which will provide add-on protection for cars on lease terms that exceed their original manufacturer cover period, with vehicle servicing and repairs set to be added in the future.

SCL customers will also gain access to a unique ‘Digital Garage’ which will provide a central location for a car’s history and documentation, which helps users to manage and maintain their vehicles.

Both Select Car Leasing and MotorEasy are headquartered in Reading.

Mark Tongue, Joint CEO and Founder of Select Car Leasing, said: “As the UK’s most trusted car leasing company, we’re delighted to have partnered with MotorEasy in an exciting and long-term relationship that comes with enormous benefits for our customers.

“The collaboration provides additional peace of mind to Select’s extensive database of customers and also introduces MotorEasy’s membership of more than one million car owners to some of the most competitive lease deals on the market.

“Crucially, there’s a real synergy between Select Car Leasing and MotorEasy, with both companies putting excellent customer service, trustworthiness and industry-leading innovation at the forefront of everything we do.”

Duncan McClure Fisher, CEO of MotorEasy said: “It’s great to be working with a like-minded organisation like Select that shares our aspiration to enhance and enrich the driving experience for UK motorists.

“Our comprehensive GAP product will protect customers from the moment they take delivery of their car, while our alloy wheel and cosmetic cover will help safeguard them against potential end-of-lease damage penalties.”

He explained: “We’re extremely proud of our TrustPilot rating and it’s a reflection of our commitment to customer service.

“It also highlights the quality of our claims handling and vehicle repairs process, which is managed through a network of 10,000 approved workshops nationwide.

“Wherever you’re based in the UK, we can manage your claims and repairs while delivering a high quality service.”
