READING FC boss Ruben Selles provided injury updates ahead of their clash with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

The Royals go into the game in the League One relegation zone after they were deducted three more points on Wednesday after Dai Yongge’s failure to meet EFL demands.

Selles is determined to keep as much focus as possible on the pitch and provided updates on his squad’s health ahead of their latest league test, including Tom Holmes and Nesta Guinness-Walker who have both not featured since the defeat to Port Vale.

“Tom (Holmes) played in the U21s game on Monday because he needs some match fitness.

“Nesta (Guiness-Walker) had training two days before but he has something in his hamstring so will be 10 days out of training.

“They are part of the team and we will see in the future if they are in the games and part of the line-ups or not.”

Selles also spoke about several other injury concerns to clarify their statuses.

He continued: “Sam Smith is close, but won’t be selected for this game. It will be one or two weeks more.

“Lewis Wing is also close but I don’t know if he will arrive for this game.

“There have been a couple of complications with him (Ovie Ejaria) so we don’t know when he will be able to come back.

“Nelson Abbey will be back after that concussion.

“Mamadi (Camara) is not fit. He has a hamstring injury.”
