Reading FC have revealed the date that will see them welcome season ticket holders for an open day at Bearwood Park training ground.

Season ticket holders who renewed or purchased their tickets before June 6th will be welcomed to the training ground for a tour of the club’s state of the art facilities on July 13th.

The club also confirmed that season ticket prices will remain frozen for the rest of the summer.

Speaking to Reading FC’s media channels, chairman Rob Couhig said: “We’re very excited about Bearwood day.

“Todd (Trosclair) and I had a long conversation about this, we had discussed increasing the prices for season tickets, and we’ve made a decision not to do it right now.

This is for two reasons, first, while it would generate income that’s probably necessary, we want to give everybody a chance to get in at the right price at the right time.

“And secondly, when we make our next announcement, we’re trying to come up with a way that will make it easier for fans to purchase Season Tickets, and we’re going through a decision making process with our ticket provider about how we’re going to do that, and we hope to have an exciting answer to that.

“For those who have purchased, firstly, thank you on behalf of the club. Because of your support, we’re able to do some things such as the signing Paudie, bring him in, be able to bring some other people in.

“We’re going to make the place better, the fan experience is going to be better at the stadium. For those who haven’t bought yet, you’re going to feel sorry you missed out!

“I think most fans instinctually know that we have something special here.

“You may remember that there was a thought, what’s Rob going to do with this facility? I don’t think those people understood me at all.

“So I’m going to forgive them for now, but we want them to come out and get the full breadth of being a true Reading fan.

“This facility is important to that, and we’re going to plan some special things for that day.

“And by the way, we have selected the date, it’s July 13th, it’s going to start early and it’s going to run for a long time, and people are going to be invited out in two hour shifts because we have so many Season Ticket holders!”
