Residents gather to pay respects after victim of Pierces Hill incident dies

More than 50 people have gathered to pay respects to the victim of the incident which took place on Pierces Hill last week, who died in hospital on Tuesday, August 9.

MORE than 50 residents of Tilehurst and friends and family have gathered at a vigil to pay their respects after a man in his teens was involved in an incident on Pierces Hill.

The man who was involved in the incident died while in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries, Thames Valley Police announced today.

A crowd has gathered to pay respects by laying flowers, balloons, and tributes to the victim.

Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation on Tuesday, August 9, having made a number of arrests so far.

 

UPDATE: The victim has since been identified as Sheldon Lewcock, aged 19, of Reading.
