The new owners of a house in Emmer Green have applied to Reading Borough Council for permission to replace a garage with a two-storey extension.

The semi-detached home in Knights Way bought the property last year. In addition to the outbuilding, which comes with a storage area, the property has an open plan living and dining room, a kitchen, and two bedrooms.

The extension would create a study, a shower toilet, a new kitchen and a family room at ground level, and space for a double bedroom with ensuite shower toilet on the first floor.

The application can be seen by logging on to Reading Borough Council’s planning website, searching for reference 240487.
