STORM EUNICE has arrived, bringing with it some of the strongest winds we’ve experienced since the great storm of 1987.
And The Met Office has this morning upgraded its warning to red, its highest level.
It expects the worst of the storm between 10am and 3pm today.
A red warning means it could cause significant disruption and dangerous conditions. This could mean flying debris, damage to buildings and homes, power cuts, and changes to public transport.
Reading Buses has this morning announced: “We intend to operate all services while safe to do so and while roads are accessible. Please use tracking on our app for potential delays and twitter for cancellations / diversions”.
Great Western Railway has announced reduced services on the railway.
A number of schools have announced closures today, with live lessons.
