A WALK and talk will help unpack Reading’s role in conflicts over time.

The team at Walk Reading will be holding the event on Saturday, March 16, from 10.30am.

Battles will include when the town was invaded by Danes around 870AD, a look at the siege of Reading and battle of Caversham in the English Civil War, and The Battle of Broad Street during the Glorious Revolution.

The impact of Napoleonic, the Anglo-Afghan wars will also be discussed, as well as the first and second world wars.

Tickets cost £9, and places should be booked in advance.
