IT is the ultimate beer crawl with specially brewed beers from all over the country – and all sampled from one seat.

The Nags Head in Reading is the venue where beer lovers can taste up to twelve unique beers in the sixth Collabageddon event.

Organised by Wokingham’s very own Elusive Brewery, this annual delight is now a firm must for anyone who enjoys a beer, or even a dozen.

Ruth Mitchell, Managing Director of Elusive Brewing said: “We have 12 brilliant breweries taking part this year to create twelve delicious beers which will pour in, fingers crossed, 30 venues across the country.

“This year’s event takes place on Friday, November 17, so make sure the date is in your diary. It promises to be an awesome beery time.”

Elusive Brewing has also announced a new collaboration beer with The Outhouse Brewery also in Wokingham, brewed to celebrate Wokingham Heritage Day.

Founded by a home brewer who went on to win awards at national level, Elusive Brewing has been producing award winning beers from their base in Finchampstead since 2016, creating beers with one eye on tradition and the other on taking things to the next level.

Opened in 2021, The Outhouse Brewery is Wokingham’s only Brew Pub, producing tasty beers on site at their recently enlarged bar in Alexandra Court.

A nod to Wokingham’s brick making past, Kick Up The Fire is an American Red Ale with a rich red colour and notes of pine and grapefruit balanced with flavours of light toffee and caramel.

The artwork for the beer pays homage to one of the many mosaics that can be found in Wokingham town centre while the name is taken from the lyrics of a song by The Cooper Temple Clause who were based in the town.

Ruth said: “We’re really pleased to be teaming up with The Outhouse Brewery for another collaboration. Our local community is really important to us as a business and we are delighted to brew a beer to celebrate it.”

Peter Rhodes, founder and owner of The Outhouse Brewery, added: “Every time we visit Elusive Brewing we learn something new and are honoured to work beside them for this beer. It says a lot about the independent businesses in the area and how we support one another”.

Kick Up The Fire will also be on sale at The Outhouse Brewery and from the Elusive Brewing Taproom on Hogwood Lane in Finchampstead.
