A READING woman has struck lucky after winner more than £70,000 in a casino.
The mystery winner took home the £72,439 jackpot from Grosvenor Casino in central Reading, proprietors have announced.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said she was visiting the casino with her partner when she made a life-changing bet while playing Three Card Poker.
While playing, she secured a royal flush–a hand with five cards of the same suit in sequence.
With 22,100 possible hands in Three Card Poker, the probability of being dealt a royal flush of any suit is one in 5525.
Speaking about her jackpot win, the mystery player said: “I still can’t believe this is real and it will take a while to sink in.
“My partner and I were only visiting the casino for a bit of Friday night fun, but we ended the evening absolutely elated with our winnings.
“I have no idea what we will spend the money on–I am still pinching myself that it actually happened.”
