Nyash Gwatidzo’s social impact journey began as a Zimbabwean refugee, when she founded a therapy group for sexually abused teenage girls.

In 1992, with £800 redundancy, she established a therapeutic home for children, evolving it into a £150m enterprise, Banya Family Placement agency, by 1994.

In 2003, she set up Vana Trust, dedicated to children’s education in the UK and Zimbabwe. Today, she oversees nine social enterprises, supporting vulnerable children and empowering women entrepreneurs across the UK and Africa.
