READING Pride has announced it is taking part in this year’s Reading Half Marathon as a charity partner.
The LGBTQ+ charity will be providing fundraising tips, training advice, and a new Reading Pride t-shirt to wear on race day.
It means participants have the opportunity to not only challenge themselves but also to make a difference in the community.
Reading Pride joins the liked of the Royal Berks Charity, Babies in Buscot Support, Sport in Mind, Sue Ryder, Berkshire Healthcare Charity, Berkshire Women’s Aid, Daisy’s Dream, Camp Mohawk.
The event announced that Green Park would be its new headline sponsor for this year.
The Reading Half Marathon has become one of the most celebrated running events in the UK since its inception in 1983.
Every year it sees thousands of seasoned runners and novices alike taking on a 13.1-mile route from Green Park through the University of Reading, looping through the town centre and past Prospect Park before concluding in the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
This year’s iteration, the event’s 43rd, takes place on Sunday, March 23, beginning from the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
