A READING man has been jailed for seven years following a Thames Valley Police investigation into drug dealing.
Grafton Vaughan, aged 50 and of Berkeley Avenue, Reading, was found guilty by unanimous jury verdict of one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, November 9.
He was subsequently sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment at the same hearing.
It follows an incident where, at around 11.45am on Wednesday, May 10, officers witnessed Vaughan interacting with suspected users of class A drugs on Berkley Avenue.
He was seen discarding 16 wraps of cocaine and £125 in cash was recovered.
Officers then found digital scales marked with traces of cocaine along with cling film and cigarette papers during a search of Vaughan’s home.
He was charged the following day.
