A man from Reading has been sentenced to two years and ten months in prison for drug offences.
Ashley Harris-Gregg, 36, of Great Knollys Street, Reading was sentenced at Reading Crown Court after pleading guilty to one count each of possession to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine, acquiring criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
In February, Harris-Gregg was stopped by police in a vehicle on Gosbrook Road, Reading and a quantity of cash was located.
After an enhanced search, police found nine packages of cocaine located on his person.
Investigating officer Detective Constable James Packman said: “We hope these court results serve as a deterrent to anyone who thinks it’s acceptable to sell drugs in our communities.
“Our work to prevent criminals from supplying illicit drugs goes on, and we would always encourage members of the public to contact us if they have any information which could assist with our enquiries.
