READING’S independent comedy festival has announced its first set of acts, including two headline performers, set to take to the stage when the event returns next year.
Reading Indie Comedy Festival has named Sara Pascoe and Simon Brodkin as its two headline acts for its annual event next spring.
Comedian, author, and screenwriter Sara Pascoe is a TV regular known for hosting The Great British Sewing Bee and appearances on Last One Laughing, taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, QI, Cats Does Countdown, and Mock The Week.
Pascoe set out on her biggest tour to date this year, I Am a Strange Gloop, which will follow shows in Australia and Canada with a date at the London Palladium next year.
Simon Brodkin is best known for his cheeky cockney character Lee Nelson, with appearances on Live at the Apollo and headline shows.
He’s also made multiple appearances on the likes of the John Bishop Show, Absolutely Fabulous, Children In Need, and Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.
Reading Indie Comedy Festival returns on Thursday, May 14, next year, with Simon Brodkin performing at Pentahotel on Saturday, May 16, followed by Sara Pascoe at Double-Barrelled Brewery on Sunday, May 17.
