READING’S community is coming together to ring in the Lunar New Year.
Ahead of the Lunar New Year later this month, Reading Hongkongers is celebrating the event with a traditional new year fair.
As well as a flower market, the event will gather together a number of stalls from businesses both close to home and from afar.
Among them will be Asgard Groceries, accessories and homeware by Cats Handmade, art by Lumli Lumlong, offerings from SoupaMarket and Oriental Teabox, as well as Uncle E, Wa Na Hong Oriental Supermarket, and What the Shop.
Lunar New Year, which is the beginning of the new year as dictated by the lunar cycles, takes place on Sunday, January 22.
The Lunar New Year Fair and flower market takes place at Garden Hall, Watlington House, from 2pm-5pm on Sunday, January 8.
Entry is free.
