Reading Half Marathon 2023: Local runner Naomi Mitchell takes female first place

The 2023 Reading Half Marathon was won by Ollie Lockley, while local runner Naomi Mitchell was the first female finisher.

Lockley, who races for Leeds City Athletics Club was first to cross the line in this year’s event with a time of 64 minutes, 35 seconds.

The first female finisher was Mitchell who races for Reading Athletics Club.

She posted a time of 72 minutes, 12 seconds.

She was followed by second place Rebecca Murray In one hour, 12 minutes, 39 seconds and third place Emma Styles who finished in one hour, 15 minutes, 33 seconds.

The top three was made up of second place Alex Lawrence who finished in 64 minutes, 53 seconds and third position Benjamin Allcock who posted a time of 64 minutes, 53 seconds.

The event first took place in 1983 with this year’s edition being the 41st race.

More than 10,000 runners took part in this year’s Reading half marathon which finished at the home of Reading FC at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
