Reading FC has announced that it will be facing two Championship clubs in pre-season as they gear up for the 2024/25 campaign.
Despite the ownership situation at the club not yet being resolved, the Royals are beginning to get their pre-season plans in place.
The Royals will face Watford in a behind closed doors friendly match on Saturday, July 6 at Watford’s training ground.
The Hornets, now managed by Tom Cleverley, finished in 15th spot in the Championship last season on 56 points.
Later in the month, Reading will face Queens Park Rangers at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
The match will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 3pm, which is just two weeks before the start of the 2024/25 League One campaign.
Marti Cifuentes’ QPR side avoided relegation to League One by taking 18th place in the Championship on 56 points, six points above the drop zone.
